Your Rights: Fair Trials & Equal Justice In-Person
Learn more about the amendments that have granted Americans the right to a fair trial, due process, and more.

Grace Metheney, a University of Akron law student and a Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Law, will lead a discussion on the Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. The presentation will explore the origins of these amendments and how evolving principles of justice and constitutional checks and balances shape America’s criminal justice system. Participants will gain insight into how these amendments protect the rights to a fair trial, fair punishment, and equal protection under the law.
