Salute Our Soldiers In-Person
Help us send thank-you letters to our troops! This is a drop-in program for all ages and abilities. Registration is not required.
Children and adults are welcome anytime during this drop-in program to write a letter or draw a picture to send to Ohio soldiers overseas through A Million Thanks. We will have writing prompts, music, and beverages to help your creative juices flow. Stationery and writing utensils will be provided. Letters can be turned in during the program or dropped off at the Reference desk by 5 PM on September 26th. Please adhere to the guidelines below to ensure we can send your letter. We want as many as possible to make the trip overseas!
Letter Writing Guidelines:
1. Letters must be handwritten. No typing.
2. No political or religious references.
3. No loose decorations such as glitter or confetti.
4. You may use any kind of stationery, notebook, or printer paper. No cards or cardstock, please.
5. Address your letter as "Dear Service Member" and sign your first name only. No last names or contact information.
6. For adults: letters must have a minimum of five (5) full sentences. For children and adults with differing abilities: letters must have a minimum of one (1) full sentence and a drawing.
