Local History Program - Barberton Maps In-Person
Do you know the Local History Room has hundreds of maps in its collection? It does! The maps cover a large span of Barberton’s history, and a wide variety of topics, locations, and purposes. Found in the collection are Sanborn Maps, plat maps, 1928 City of Barberton Extension of Corporation Map, 1953 Ground Water Resources and Bedrock Counters of Summit County, 1958 City of Barberton water main and valve locations, and blueprints of the Barber Mansion. Also in the collection are blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Join us for a quick review of the different types of maps and how they are used. You will also have an opportunity to see some of the Local History Room's map collection. A selection of maps will be available for viewing.
