Paws to Read In-Person
Children are invited to practice their reading skills with friendly puppy pals! Join us one Saturday a month in the Children’s Department for Paws to Read: September 30, October 21, November 18, December 9, January 20, February 24, March 23, April 20 & May 18.
Trained therapy dogs make an ideal audience for beginning, struggling and reluctant readers. The dogs are non-judgmental listeners, which allows kids to practice in a no pressure situation, that can also help to build a positive attitude toward reading.
