Supertonics Flute Ensemble Holiday Concert In-Person
The Supertonics Flute Ensemble celebrates the season with a Holiday Pops Concert. Works celebrating Christmas, the Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa are represented with a joyous mix of classical, folk, popular, and film music. All members of the flute family are represented including the C Concert Flute, Piccolo, Alto Flute, Bass Flute, and Contra Bass Flute.
Supertonics is an all-volunteer ensemble with members coming together from a four-county region to rehearse and perform. Conductor Dr. Janet Becker is in her second year with the group which has grown to 30 members. For this concert the group is joined by Donna Rizor Longfellow who provides narration and program notes, and guest percussionist Patrick Santelli.
