Zombies (and Infectious Diseases) in Popular Culture In-Person
Dr. Tara Smith, a microbiologist, infectious disease researcher, and Professor of Epidemiology at the Kent State University College of Public Health, will discuss how infectious diseases are spread by citing zombie outbreaks in popular culture. Smith uses media including "The Walking Dead," "28 Days Later" and "World War Z" as a way to explain infections to her audience.This program will be presented on Facebook Live.
Registration for in-person seating for the Spillette Room viewing of the livestream is required, seating is limited. This event will also be live-streamed via the Library's Facebook Live, @barbertonpubliclibrary
