This Fall 2021, the Tween Tuesday programming will focus on Mindfulness. After the stress of the past year, we want to create a space of calm while teaching our kids simple exercises to help manage stress and emotions, find focus, and face challenges of the new school year. Each month will include an activity, craft, and snack.
September: What is mindfulness? This month we will practice being present and learn about quick journaling.
October: Why practice mindfulness? This month we will learn and practice breathing exercises.
November: More ways to be mindful. This month we will focus on how stretching, movement, and meditation can help us focus our feelings and thoughts.
December: Mindfulness for life - Building your tool box. This month we will learn about and create a few different mindfulness tools we can use whenever the need arises.
